The history of the Fortified Calvinist Church of Vörösberény goes back as far as the age of Prince Géza round about 990 and was called Saint Martin Church, which had been built on Roman and Árpád-age ruins. It had to survive a lot from being occupied by the Turks and religious strifes. Further information can be read in our publication titled ‘The Churches of Balatonalmádi’.
